Do you see the motorcycle?

I recently received an email that went something like this:

Honda Crash Picture 1

Honda Crash Picture 2

Honda Crash Picture 3

Honda Crash Picture 4

The Honda crotch rocket rider was traveling at approximately 85 mph. The VW driver was talking on a cell phone when she pulled out from a side street, apparently not seeing the motorcycle. The riders reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 20 feet from where the collision took place.

All three involved (two in the car and the bike rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Motorcycle Fair by the Police and Road Safety Department.

Pass this on to car drivers or soon to be new drivers, or new motorcycle owners AND ESPECIALLY EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHO HAS A CELL PHONE!!!!!

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Wake up people , Stop talking on Cell phones and Texting while  trying to drive. Put your Cell phone in the back seat !!!

Whilst I agree that the driver shouldn't be on the phone - I'd really like to know what road let's you travel at 85mph...

I often see bikes going too fast, speeding down the middle (between car lanes) - which they aren't actually allowed to do but they still get pissed off when people are too far over to let them do it, switching between lanes in very narrow gaps. Generally being a road hazard.

Yet the minute there's a collision with a bike it's the larger vehicles fault (even if the driver wasn't doing something as stupid as using their phone). In this particular case I'd say both driver and rider were stupid and at fault.

There's a very definite lesson to learn from all this though, driving/riding is dangerous - why make it worse by speeding or distracting yourself.
