Internet Explorer 8

Just installed Internet Explorer 8 (my automatic updates did it) and noticed a very wierd bug -
not sure if it's just me or if this affects every install of IE8 Release Candidate 1; but not all sites work...
Google (.com and .co.uk) sit there connecting all day but do not load.
Yahoo.com does the same, although .co.uk which redirects to uk.yahoo.com does load.
Opera.com doesn't load.
Mozilla.org does load.
Not sure if Microsoft see some of these sites as a threat to it's business or if it's just my install but this is definately odd.
